Palmaz Vineyards

Palmaz Vineyards' winemaking and aging takes place within the living rock of Mount George, in a flawlessly engineered maze of tunnels and lofty domes. The height of the wine cave is equivalent to an 18-story building, providing the vertical range needed for true gravity-flow winemaking. Thus, the wine is never subjected to the violent agitation of pumping, which can change the wine’s intra-molecular structure. This gentle treatment allows the finest nuances of flavor to develop naturally—the result is a complex, elegant wine.

Rodeno Vineyards

Women For WineSense founding member, Michaela Rodeno, invites you to visit Rodeno Vineyards in Napa's Oakville appellation, where her family grows the Tuscan-varietal, Sangiovese.  The Rodeno clone was the first Sangiovese planted in Napa Valley in 1985.  Farmed in the Rodeno family vineyard, on a well-drained mountain site, it yields only 1-2 tons per acre, resulting in wines that are consistently full-bodied, with good intensity and color.

The choice to only make Cabernet Sauvignon led to important winemakeing decisions that would ultimately define Silver Oak.  First, to use American oak barrels.  Second, to age the wine for nearly 5 years before releasing it. Visit the Oakville estate of Silver Oak, whose mission in producing Cabernet is disarmingly simple: to make delicious wines that people love.
