Women for WineSense (WWS) was founded in 1990 to bring together wine industry professionals and wine enthusiasts for educational events from California to New York. The organization has grown to 11 regional chapters and more than 730 members across the country. Tens of thousands of members and guests attend our gatherings every year.
  • WWS is the premiere wine education and networking organization for women and men interested and involved in wine.
  • WWS believes that wine enhances and enriches everyday life and we promote the appreciation and responsible enjoyment of wine.
  • WWS supports the success and professional development of women in the wine industry and associated fields.
  • WWS is committed to offering outstanding educational programs, mentoring and networking opportunities that enable wine professionals and wine enthusiasts to come together and explore wine in a fun and welcome atmosphere.
  • WWS was founded by some of the top women in the wine industry, including Michaela Rodeno, CEO of St. Supery, Julie Johnson, founder of Tres Sabores and Frog's Leap, winemaker Dawnine Dyer, Margrit Mondavi, and Margaret Duckhorn. These women and many other key industry professionals are still strong supporters of Women for WineSense.
